The connector is quite expensive and you get only one connector. I wanted 2.
Print 2
Printed in PETG, could any other filaments ( not tpu). Additionally you will need ( For 1 connector):
After connectors are printed and the M4 nuts are grinded as on the pictures, insert the 3mm rod in the holes. It is a tight fit to prevent them falling out and do the intended role better. After, press in the M4 nuts - take care the grinded side of the nut is facing towards the rod. Nut needs to be pressed in flush, or about 0,04 mm in the model.
The headless screw should be inserted on the nut side the grove for Alan key must be threaded in the nut first. Then with Alan key thread the screw to be completely flush with the nut. Printed part will be threaded by the screw. This will also ensure the screw will not fall out when not tightened against the rail.
The rail closer to the rubber chip guard is a bit more tight fit - the grove in the Aluminium extrusion is smaller than the other one. It is harder to get it inserted but it makes the connection more accurate and stiff.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
