Ever wanted a nice touch interface for your Prusa XL? Well here is your solution! I designed an adjustable arm to mount a Raspberry Pi Screen (1 or 2) with a Raspberry Pi onto the side of your Prusa XL. This allows you to run Prusa Connect on the Pi to allow for easy management of your print queue, convenient manual jogs with the control tab, and can even host a USB webcam.
Included on this model are the three structural parts of the arm, the optional TPU washer, and an extrusion cover. The three structural parts are easy to print and require no supports. I printed them in PLA but most anything will work. The TPU washer gives some extra stiction to the nod adjustment. I was able to find a rubber washer at my local hardware store that I trimmed down which also works great. Without it the screen has a tendency to slowly droop. You can just tighten the bolt so it stays, but I like having the adjustment. Also included is an extrusion cover to hide the cables running to the Pi, print this out of PETG so it does not crack when you put it in.
I have designed a case for both the original Raspberry Pi Screen and the second version compatible with this project. For the second version you will want the 50mm square M3 variant of the case.
I have also designed a simple magnetic camera mount to secure a USB webcam to your XL that you can connect to the Pi and link to Prusa Connect.
