A lid riser for the Qidi Plus 4. Compatible with the use of a Qidi DryBox mounted to the stock filament mounting arm. The use of the stock carry handles is also retained.
This lifts the glass lid up by around 25mm which also allows for better clearances for the stock bowden tube, resulting in a smoother filament path.
The rear joiner piece allows for the easy insertion of most standard USB cables with a minimal air gap. This allows for a COB LED lighting strip to be affixed to the inside of the riser, which can then be powered by the USB port on the top rear of the printer. This greatly improves the lighting within the print chamber, resulting in clearer timelapse videos, or just print monitoring in general.
Recommended filament is anything that can withstand sustained 80C temperatures, such as ABS, ASA, PC, PET, PA, PPS. CF infused filaments are optional, but will minimise the chance of print warping in the narrower sections.
No supports needed. I used 3 walls. 10% infill, and printed in ASA myself.
Note: Two of each of the corner pieces are needed for the full assembly. Only one of each of the other pieces is needed.
