This is my first published model, so please be sure to leave your suggestions and comments down below so I can improve my design and learn.
I was looking for a big 18650 lithium battery case, but only found small ones or ones that would not encase the whole battery, so i came up with this model
The round shape with its M200 thread allows for a nice and safe closing of the case, while utilising all of the build platform space a Prusa MKS3+ has to offer. The top part just screws onto the bottom. Depending on the printer settings, the thread will turn more or less easily. This will become better with time as the thread “sands” itself down. Clean the thread of that dust from time to time to reduce friction.
I printed it with the default 0.20mm quality profile in PrusaSlicer, only removed the brim and set the perimeter count to 3. No need for supports
The batteries slide in nicely and there is enough room for the flat top type, the ones with protective circuit and the ones with the pointy positive pole.
There is a top version with the numbers “18650” embossed in it, this will probably need supports
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
