This is a spring loaded clamping mechanism to mount the Kensington Orbit trackball to a sim rig.
The spring allows easy access to the device for example for battery change, power switch or if it's too far away for easy use and should be only stored while driving.
The mounting holes are for 2x M6 with DIN 125 washers. These are horizontal 40 mm apart, the ideal pitch for a standard 80xsomething-profile in vertical orientation or anything in horizontal position.
It can be mounted in an angle of 0-30°.
It need a few extra parts:

I only tried PETG and with the 0,3mm draft settings I got a few problems. I opened up the tolerances on the parts, but to avoid problems you should use smaller layer height.
