When you're playing a gig and you want your beer or water within easy reach, this mic-stand-mounted holder is the answer. A great gift for the musician in your life!

I've printed them for multiple musicians and they love them. It makes it easy to reach your drink without having to bend down or move away from the mic.

There are holes in the bottom, in the shape of a treble clef, to prevent any splashes or spills accumulating in the bottom.

This is a new version of my original https://www.printables.com/model/96826-mic-stand-pint-glass-holder.

This version has a number of improvements from the original:

  1. The holder is removable from the bracket, it just slides down onto it. This makes it easier to pack the mic stand without the bulky drink holder protruding
  2. The bracket comes in 2 hinged parts and can be mounted without disassembling the mic stand.
  3. The new hinged bracket can be used with mic stands with different pole diameters

The small downside of the new hinged bracket is that it needs some screws for the hinge itself and for closing it. It's designed for M4 screws and nuts.

There are 2 variations of the bracket. The original one is designed for a 20mm diameter pole and should work with poles slightly smaller or larger than that. If in doubt, this is probably the one to use.
The second one is for a ½" pole as requested by another user.

Printing guidelines

I've printed them in PETG and PLA. The pictures are printed in Prusament Galaxy Purple and Galazy Black PLA.

I usually increase the number of perimeters to give them extra strength, since they get knocked around coming to and from gigs.

Supports and brim

The drink holder prints without supports or brim.

The 2 brackets print standing vertically. Since there's only a relatively small surface area on the bed, I print them with 5 or 10mm of brim.

For the brackets, I use organic supports with paint-on supports for the parts of the hinges that aren't touching the bed (both upper and lower for the hinged bracket back, only the upper one for the hinged bracket with dovetail.

The holes for the screws and nuts for the closer don't need supports.
