Introduction

The Peggit system is a simple way to attach holders and organizers to your pegboard using simple automotive rivets.  The clip easily attaches to standard pegboard with 1" spacing using 15mm x 12mm x 6mm automotive push rivets.  Holders can be easily removed from the clip by pressing the two arms on the bottom of the clip, making it easy to move your holders around.

You will need a Peggit Clip for attaching this holder.  View the whole Peggit Collection.

Printing

Each holder consists of a top and bottom section with optional nubs.  Each section can hold 4 clamps of any length.  The TPU nubs are optional and work with the Harbor Freight bar clamps, but don't seem to work with Jorgensen brand clamps.

Since the clamps will hold some amount of weight, you should avoid PLA.  Try ASA, ABS, or even PETG instead, as PLA will creep over time.  The bottom support can be printed in whatever you want and of course the nubs should be printed in the softest flexible filament you can print.

Everything prints fine without supports, resting on the flat faces on the bed, 0.2mm layer height and standard in-fill.  Material choice is more important then the number of walls or in-fill percentage.

Installation

The modules can be stacked horizontally and take up roughly 5" horizontal space.  The bottom supports can go just about anywhere, I like having them near the bottom of the clamps for maximum stability.

If your pegboard leans too much, you can tap the two holes in the top bracket and insert a set screw for adjustment.  Screw in the set screw to correct for the lean, especially with large clamps.  The hole is sized for a ¼-20 set screw.  See the video below for more details.

Tips and Tricks

If you're testing out an arrangement of holders, you can install the rivets, but remove the center pins.  This will allow you to loosely attach the holders and see how everything will fit before securing them to the pegboard.  Simply find the right spot, press the tabs on the arms and remove the holder, then add the pins and replace the holder.

Instead of using the pins that come with the push rivets, you can use a ¾" 8-32 (or M4 16mm) flat head machine screw (see the materials section below).  These screw and unscrew easily making it easier to relocate holders.

Materials

Below is a list of what you will need to assemble everything as intended.  Of course you can substitute what you want, but the list below is what worked for me.

Design Notes

Check the video below.  I'm sure for other clamp types, the location of the nubs could be adjusted so they hold other types of clamps in place.  STEP files are included so you can modify them to suit your needs.
