Parametric Keyboard Keys Desk Nametag with Business Card Holder

This parametric model makes a nametag for your desk using keyboard letters as the letters. In order to make this work, you will need a way to accurately measure the base of the keyboard keys, and a radius gauge to find the corner radius of the keys.

Parameters to edit:

  • 2D width and height at base of keyboard key
  • Measured radius of the corners of the key
  • Clearance (.25mm by default)
  • Letters (number of letters in name)
  • Wording in sketch 4 for job title

This model is also designed with a slot to hold a few standard size business cards.

I have included a few pre-made files that will fit various numbers of 15.5mm square keys with a 3mm corner radius.

Update 1/2/25:

Since desktop keys often have a bump on the back where they connect to the keyboard, I made a version with a provision for that bump.
