I really love the StealthBurner look and wanted to make a cooling duct that has that cool turbine look for my ender 3 s1. This is my second attempt at this.

Much learned from my first v1 attempt. This improved version fixed a lot of the original issues and also comes with new features.

Also releasing a compatible back plate with this here-

https://www.printables.com/model/1105959-ender3-s1-spriteburner-backplate-4020-fan-0-y-offs

Original v1 had issue with magnetic force from stepper slowing down your fan as it was hugging very close. Which made it impossible to use double ball bearing fans as well. This is fixed by adding a small gap behind the fan.

After adding the gap i thought why not utilize this gap as a second intake and thus the 5020 fan is also compatible on same face plate just use the provided clip.

Compatibility

I am personally using with my CHCB OT hotend and ZS MK8 Nozzle. But it should be compatible with any hotend that is close to that height to ~2mm

There is a separate version for stock hotend. (face and body) that is adjustable upto 4mm. I have not personally installed it but it should work.

This cooling duct has its pair of backplate

But it should be usable with a variety of other backplates. A very simple alternate is this-

Needed Items

2x M3 Bolts ~10mm length. for connecting face plate to duct.

2x M3 brass inserts

1x 5015 or 5020 blower fan

2x 16mm round pcb mounted LED.

Preparation

Insert the 2 m3 brass inserts on the lower body and duct part.

Trim the 5020 or 5015 fan same way as the stealthburner. I just cut the ears with a clipper+knife and sanded it smooth.

When wiring fan be mindful of your positive and negative terminals.  Some ender 3 s1 models have the polarity reversed, which I luckily was aware of from watching youtube.

left from stock fan.

right from Aliexpress.

Wire your LED boards however you like. I use the commonly available 3.7v led Chinese boards. Wired to a different power 3v power source

Assembly

The nozzle LED will slide into its slot. you can use some hot-glue to secure if its too lose.

Insert the logo diffuser in its slot. It can only go one way.

There will be enough space and also a circular cut to hold the logo LED board

There is room to pass the wire through the hole on the bottom duct.

The led will be held in place by the other part of the body when you screw in the m3 bolts.

Assemble hole thing with the 2 m3 bolts.

Slot the fan in place and use the appropriate provided clip to hold it in place securely.

Left is 5020 fan with a clip.

I recommend to add some hot glue here.

For 5015 the clip also blocks the exposed intake hole

There are 3 mounting points for secure solid mount with 2 mm adjustable height.

This duct should be compatible with many back plates. due to the extra space.

However I can only confirm the ones I tested-

This is built for this-

https://www.printables.com/model/1105959-ender3-s1-spriteburner-backplate-4020-fan-0-y-offs

uses a 4020 hotend cooling fan + zero Y offset probe mount + ptfe coupler mount.

And still has smaller X offset than any other(with 4020) ones I found so far.

This is also a good option if you are OK with the stock hot end cooler. And I have used this for pretty much up until last month.

v2 rev5 and 5.1 compatible with each other, no change in duct shape. Just reduced the wall thickness below duct to have more room.

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Slightly improved cooling duct for rear overhangs.

Ability to use 5020 as well as 5015 fan interchangeably

v1 had issue with magnetic force from stepper slowing down your fan as it was hugging very close. This is fixed by adding a small gap behind the fan. Added gap to fix this issue

Lower profile and lighter.

Uses standard 16mm pcb led boards. Mounting is simple

Also releasing a new custom back plate that goes with this specific version well.
