Found these cute little battery puck lights at Lowes. 5 pack for $11, 16 lumens each, and amazingly replaceable batteries!  Couldn't go wrong.  BUT there is one down side I found.

With the adheasive back they mount easy, but generally all you have in a house for little emergency or cubby lights is a vertical wall.

They are a nice wide flood light not a beam,  and while not super bright, they are a white hot spot of light right straight at you.

So I made these little brackets to mount them horizontal.  Aims them at the floor for walking light, and keeps the hot spot out of your vision.    Designed to aim light down, but can be flipped to aim up fine too.

I am simply mounting them with a dab of Liquid Nails Fuze-It, the pocket on the back for a little more mechanical grab, they are 1mm deep, and 8mm dia.

Second version a little thicker on the back, pockets to take 10mm(hole has 0.5mm clearance) x 2mm magnets.

And a third version here if you want screw mount. 3 holes, center and outer pair, use any you want, or all.. Sized for a #6 flat head screw, slight countersink to clear the puck light.  These are deeper between wall and the light by a little bit to give room to countersink the screws.
