I really wanted a versatile router jig I can use with my palm router to flush trim, free-hand, cut circles and more. I saw different designs but all I had was a bunch of filament and a 3D printer with a 220 by 220 bed only.

This main base for this jig is printed in two pieces and I use heat inserts to assemble it. I have a Ridgid palm router and I designed it to fit that router. You could modify the design for your own router since I'm including a Step version and f3d (fusion 360) file as well.

I include number of adapters that can be added with ¼ inch T track bolts from a kit I bought on Amazon. By attaching different sets of parts you can make it a flush trim, free-hand jig or cut circles with the small holes on some of these plates made with small pin holes. The longest pieces can be used to make larger circles and get longer reach but they are designed based on the max length I can print on my 220 print bed.

In the pictures you can see some handles which I also offer on my account. I printed two but you can just print half this base plate and a single handle and that is a great little jig already that you can start with.

I included a lot of pictures showing different setups for different applications but I'm sure you can find other way of combining these.

Make sure to print it very flat and with a material that does not warp while being rigid. I did a PLA version and it has held up very well so far but when I get an enclosed printer I'll use something like ABS-CF.

Yes visibility to the bit area could be better but is still very usable. I'm sure a ton of improvements can be made. This is the reason I'm releasing it hoping others will make some tweaks. If anyone has time here are some ideas I had:

  1. A removable center plate that can be replaced to adapt to many different routers
  2. A single base that can be printed on larger 3D printers
  3. Adapting some form of dust collection into the base plate
  4. Other adapters for different applications
  5. I have a DeWalt 20V XR palm router now so I would love a version that fits that base

I don't have time to do these but please if you do I would love to see your mods.
