My daughter had a moon wall hanging that was too bright.  I had the idea to create a combined sun/moon lighted display that can be controlled.  The colors seen here are just the default colors of the COB LED strip that was installed.  This lighting can be controlled and scheduled with certain intensities through the app.  The lighting gets bonded to the insert which gets glued to the back of the display.  That’s the best way I could figure out to control the lighting while keeping the lights hidden.  Hot glue will work and is strong enough for this project.  Once all three parts are printed and the wiring is done, insert the back panel.  It will require the user to cut the hole in the desired spot to allow for external power.

This was designed to use clear PLA as a light diffusion medium.  The first few layers are the external color you want to display.  The remaining layers will be clear PLA to represent a moon surface texture via darkened spots.  Print the model face down.  The pattern on the face is due to the platter it was printed on.
