When the can has no pull tab on it (so not the one in the pictures) the can opener is a great tool, but turning it by hand is slow. An impact wrench is fast. Now my cans open in seconds.
I thought of making it to be used with a regular hex-drill, but for the forces required it seemed like the easier task to use the ½" socket mount of an impact wrench. This way the layers can be oriented however we want to and it still is more than solid enough.
I printed mine with the socket side down and a bit of support. 8% infill, 2 outer layers, pla and everything is fine.
My can opener is from the Rewe supermarket, so on other makes it might be harder to keep it centered.
Have fun!
