Herrnhuter inspired Christmas star.
Design include stars with a 200mm, 250mm and 300mm diameter.
Two star shells is required and should be glued together after eventual adding some LED light to the star tips.
The foot can be used if a standing Christmas star is wanted.
Christmas tree top adaptor is also included!
Instruction:
Designed for printing without external support for the star tips. Some support in the middle of the star might be required / recommended.
Printer: Any FDM printer with a build volume sufficient for the wanted start (200*200*100mm), (250*250*125mm) or (300*300*150mm) in XYZ
Can be printed without support for the start tips, but is something of a torture job due to the angles and overhangs.
Stars:
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer height: 0.1-0.2mm or variable height.
Infill: 0%
Numbers of perimeters: 2
Support: Support in the middle of the star shell is recommended.
Foot:
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer height: 0.1-0.2mm or variable
Infill: 10-20%
Numbers of perimeters: 2-3
Support: Not required.
Tree Top:
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer height: 0.1-0.2mm or variable
Infill: 10-20%
Numbers of perimeters: 2-3
Support: Not required.
A Brim might be required.
Additional devices:
LED chain(s): 24 LEDS is required if every Star tip shall have one LED. I have used two LED chains with 15 LEDS in each.
Glue: Universal glue or super glue. A drop of glue on every LED in the LED tips makes the final assembly process more easy.
