Updates

March 2025

I've added v14 of the case which includes the following minor improvements:

  • USB cut is larger to accommodate chunky cables.
  • The switch cut on the underside is a lot tidier.
  • The battery/board separator has been filleted.

---

Please checkout the post on my website for a bit of background on the case.

Printed and constructed cases can be purchased from my shop.

Parts

You will need the following:

  • 1x Printed case (see files below)
  • 1x Seeed Studio Lipo Rider Plus board
  • 1x LiPo 3.7V Lipo Battery (max size 29.5x11.3x47mm)
    • I have used the EEMB 1400mAh 112945 in my build.
    • VERY IMPORTANT: Check the polarity of the connector on your battery, against the connector on the board - I had to swap mine around.
  • 1x USB-C cable with bare ends (only power required)
  • 1x SS12F15 1P2T Miniature Vertical Side Switch (size 19.7x5.8x8mm)
  • 6x M2x4mm screws for mounting the switch and the board to the case
  • 2x 40mm lengths of cable (connecting the switch to the board)

Let me know if you'd be interested in a kit of this.

Construction

The last few pictures show the connections.

  • The switch is connected to the board at pins EN/GND
  • The USB-C lead is connected at pins 5V/GND
