This carriage plate adapter helps provide a way to mount any toolhead you can fit. Remember, this is the BLANK to be used in CAD to add your own mounting holes. I will be posting a remix of this with XOL mounting pattern. Please, if this helps you create a new mount, post it as a remix! Also, let me know if you encounter any issues with this adapter.
Pros
(Maybe) More Z height?
Reduced Fan noise
Cons
Depending on your design, will probably need to remove the auxiliary fan bar, sadly I didn't take its height into account. I will design a V2 at some point. I Personally print PETG a lot more than PLA, so I do not need the extra cooling. To some of you, this can be seen as a pro, as it reduces the fan noise a decent bit.
Will very likely require Open Neptune or some form of klipper mainboard replacement to be able to configure it to your toolhead's specific settings.
I stepped on a discarded prototype and it hurt
Print Settings:
3-4 walls
25%+ infill with a 3D pattern, like Gyroid.
PLA might be fine, but strength and heat resistance will vary from brand to brand.
PETG or better would be preferred.
I have also posted a photo of the carriage this part interfaces with so you can make sure you have the same one.
If you squint, it vaguely looks like a certain Italian plumber's intellectual property.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
