Soldero - DIY (Omnifixo) Soldering Station

Original model was switched to draft or deleted

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The two jaws now are printed in place to allow for much lower clearances between them. They are based on the original's recommended upper jaw and (experimental) sturdy lower jaw.

Changes:

  • Decreased the sizes of the circular hole and the rectangular hole to reduce play, keeping both jaws in parallel
  • Added supports for both jaws and slightly reduced the width of the upper jawso they can be printed on their side

Instructions

  • Remove the 5 support pieces
  • wiggle the two jaws and apply gently pressure to separate them
  • slightly  sand or scrape the surfaces where both jaws touch until they don't bind
  • If necessary slightly bend the jaws to ensure parallelism
  • lubricate the moving pieces
