As the holidays are fast approaching, i wanted to have a smaller version (not so small) of a Christmas tree that i can place around the house and decorate and that i can easily take apart later, so i made this modular 3D printable Christmas tree!
The tree its designed to be big and tall in its original form but can be customized since its modular.
The largest snowflake is 21 cm in diameter.
Total height:
You can easily adjust the size to fit your space and needs:
The sections connect like LEGO pieces, since every section can be connected with any other one. Feel free to make your tree however you like it and you can even design your own add-ons to personalize it
With all the 19 levels, the largest pedestal, a tip and the connecting pins, the total weight of the tree is about 380 grams depending on the print settings.
Simply connect each section in the order you want with the provided pin. For easier assembly, I recommend grouping 2-3 sections together first, then connecting the groups.
The tree can be easily disassembled and stored whenever you want and be stored forfuture holidays.
You can use any material or color to make the tree uniquely yours. Here’s what I used:
❗❗For best results, I recommend PETG for the pins, as it’s more flexible and durable than PLA.
Color suggestions:
Want to get creative? You can design your own snowflake layers, tips, or even decorations. Just ensure the connection holes are 6 mm deep and 6 mm in diameter to maintain compatibility.
