The Sunlu Filament Connector is a great device, but in case that the filament is under (a lot of) tension, you need an extra hand.
When there is tension in the filament, a specially if there is not much filament left on the spool, you need both hand to get the filament in a straight line and you need a third hand to close and open the lid.
I designed a clamp in which you can clamp and straighten one end of the filament. Slide the clamp in the baseplate and it aligns perfectly with the fusion part of the filament connector. Now you have 1 hand free to operate the filament connector.
Put the device fits in the baseplate with a light press and the power connector goes through the baseplate. The clamp can be use on the right or left side.
The clamps needs to be completed wit a M3 threaded insert and an M3 bolt of 10 mm.
I used the screw knob from David_J: https://www.printables.com/model/494255-m3-screw-knob
