I have an extra Dyson battery with charger and rather than connecting a loose plug to the battery I made a custom cradle for the battery. The plug or rather the charging jack is mounted from the back and notch in the back of the cradle hides wire and allows for mounting without impinging on the wire. I didn't want to use any screws or other mechanical features to try and keep the jack in place when battery is removed, so I came up with a method to snap in the cap by implementing some nibs to the front of the cover so that if you need to remove or relocate the cradle you can do so easily without any tools other than perhaps to use a small screw driver to flip the cover by the use of the front notch. Granted the little nibs on the cover will wear out very easily after a half dozen uses but how often do you really need to relocate? the cap is designed to allow you to go in at approx. 45deg over the jack and snap into place.
Printed all in PLA & no supports required. The cradle needs to be printed vertically standing up so no support are required. The jack cradle cap should be printed notch pointing up.
