Make the kids work for their candy! Solve the maze to reveal what's inside this tree ornament. There's space inside for a bit of candy or money or other prize. The maze is partially hidden which make it somewhat more difficult to solve. The inner space is about 50mm high and 40mm diameter.
The Inner Walls part is keyed to fit into the Top Half only one way. This is to ensure that there is a way to solve the puzzle so that the outside patterns line up. Note: there are 2 wrong ways and 1 right way to solve the puzzle.
The pieces should snap together so a multi color printer isn't required. To ensure proper tolerances, try printing the Bottom Cap and the Bottom Snap Connector to see if they fit. Some glue may be needed if the tolerances are too lose. If it is too tight, try adjusting XY Size Compensation.
Nozzle: 0.6mm (0.4mm should be ok too.)
Layer height: 0.18mm (probably should be lower if using a smaller nozzle.)
External Layers First is recommend for parts that must accurately fit together.
Supports: should only be needed for the steepest overhangs of the bottom half. All other pieces will print without supports.
Brim: will help with many of the parts that don't have a lot of build plate contact.
The maze itself was generated with RevK's software: https://www.me.uk/puzzlebox
