Parkside water hose wall mounted self retraction spools work nice for a short while and then slowly the spring inside stop having enough umpf to retract the hose completely. This is a tool to help you wind the spring more.
Also, sometimes hose inside will "jump step" and you have to disassemble whole thing to fix it. After assembling you have to wind the spring and without a special tool it is incredibly hard.
How to use Use a flat scredriwer to remove the spring cover (it is the parkside labeled shape on the middle of the side of the hose box oposite to side where inlet is going out), just press it in the top middle and it will pop out. It is held by the body with clips only.
Put the tool on top of the winding piece so that the tool handle is to the right.
Hold the tool firmly (better get someone to help you) and unscrew 3 screws, when you unscrew the screws the spring will engage .. rotate the tool CCW to tighten the spring, when you are satisfied, find the position where you can see screw holes align (again lever is to the right) and screw the screws back in.
While rotating the tool make sure you make sure it does not slip, you have to maintain pressure in the middle ... ideally it is a two person job as you really need 3 hands to properly do it but it is possible to do it alone. If the tool slip from the spring holder, do not try to catch it, just let the spring unwind completely and start winding from scratch after it calms down.
How to print: I printed in PETG with .4mm nozzle .25mm layer, 4 walls, 5top, 5 bottom, 10% infill and it worked great. Bigger nozzle, fatter layers should work ok too
How to assemble Print one winding tool and one handle (I use smooth one but I made the grippy one too). Push a hex head M8x70 screw through the winding tool, add a 60mm handle and then use a M8 locknut to prevent handle from leaving the screw, that's all.
