I designed this egg as a unique approach to the infamous Crystal Dragon egg. Most of the eggs you see have some type of mechanical means of closing. Threads, notche's etc… This egg has pockets to hold neodymium magnets!! I provide a link to the specific Crystal Dragon file that this was designed around; which is 24" long. Be aware the mass of all crystal dragons is not the same. I also provide a link to where I sourced the magnets.

Be advised, you will need to institute a stop in the G-Code at layer ‘X’ based on the layer height you choose. The pocket for the magnets is concealed and has a slightly generous tolerance to hopefully accommodate the various calibrations of machines that attempt to print. When the machine stops, insert (3) - 8x2mm magnets into each pocket and then resume printing. This was designed to be printed with minimal supports. Verify your bridging angle in your slicer prior to printing for the guide grooves. Supports would only need to be added to a small portion of the top half. Verify in slicer, the entire top half does not need to be supported, only the central part of the egg.
