When soldering the LEDs take note of the diode symbol between the holes. The triangle points towards GND. The GND pin (Cathode) on the LED can be determined by the straight edge on the plastic of the LED as well as the pin being shorter than the 5v (Anode).

The cables that come with these camera modules are usually rather short. You will likely need either a usb extension cable or find a longer compatible cable.
