VEXEL BASIC SET for PRUSA MINI

• Size: 9-vexel

The Basic Vexel Set includes a 3x3 grid of modular units that connect effortlessly to form a cohesive display. The grid can be expanded —or reduced in size— (e.g., 5x5 or 2x2) by adding more center Vexels and edge pieces. Each Vexel connector has a 0.1mm tolerance, ensuring smooth assembly without sacrificing strength. 

Each Vexel frame measures 24 x 20 x 3.5 cm, with an inner space designed for the specimen, sized at 22 x 18 x 2.7 cm. 

Each Vexel comes with a small hole on the connector sides for an M3x8 screw and M3 SQUARE nut (5.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 mm), providing added security. Corner Vexels have 4mm holes for direct wall mounting, or installing hooks and ropes for hanging. 
 

Kura Curiosa is an ever-expanding collection of modular artwork, drawing inspiration from the idea of a futuristic cabinet of curiosities. The project features both free-to-download 3D-printable pieces and exclusive works.

• Specimens (main content)

• Sentries (AI sentinels)

• Cores (control units)

🛠 PRINTING TIPS
— You can 3D-print curiosa in any material or color (you can also experiment with different top fill patterns), though my typical choice includes white or gray Specimens within black Vexels.

— Assembling: All Kura Curiosa modules use M3 x 8mm screws & M3 square nuts (5.5 x 5.5 x 2.6mm)

— Best to use a 0.4mm nozzle. If you decide to use 0.6 or 0.8, make sure to test the tolerance between Vexels before printing tons of them.

— Rubber Mallet : your best friend when two Vexels don’t want to connect to each-other.

— This module DOES print on PRUSA MINI

1. New to Kura Curiosa? Download a Basic Vexel first: https://www.printables.com/model/1149642-kura-curiosa-basic-vexel

2. Print a model to house in your Vexel (Specimen, Sentry or Core)

3. Use M3 x 8mm screws and square nuts to attach the model to the Vexel

4. Repeat with more Vexels and more content and expand your collection
