After printing out some miniatures on my printer I remembered how much of a pain in the ass it was to hold them while painting.
So When I was searching for miniature painting handles I found https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2669896 and thought it could use a few tweaks to make it so you didn't have to glue things together after printing, and then I found I wanted a much smaller head so I could paint the feet of my miniatures without the tool getting in the way, so I made a second size.
Large size holds 20-40mm base figures.
Small size is 30mm max.
Both use a 1/4-20 hex head bolt and nut, slip the nut in the knob and the bolt into the clamp piece and through the base, tighten as necessary.
The clamp piece is probably the only thing that benefits from supports, as it has 8mm bridges.
Note: A small extension spring placed over the bolt at the center of the unit will make the jaws open when it's unscrewed. No part number as it was out of a box of misc springs that's been in my house for years.
2019-12-09 Added metric parts for the clamp pieces and the knob: They should fit an M6x50mm bolt and an m6 nut.
