  • In 1257, Abbot Rudolf von Bernang buys the entire bailiwick for 300 marks of silver.
  • The castle was renovated and extended in 1341.
  • A vineyard is cultivated next to the castle and is still used today.
  • During the Swabian War in 1499, the castle served as a base for the Swiss Confederates
  • The castle was already crumbling in the 16th century.
  • 1665 The Pfäfers monastery burns down and the stones from the castle are used for a new monastery complex.
  • 1954 - 1957 The first structural safety measures are carried out.
