Firstly I want to thank Simon Lončarič for creating such a nice Christmas Star Tree-Topper, Low poly Christmas star tree-topper!
However, although it is a fantastic model, it can be very challenging to print, especially without supports and/or when trying to scale it up to 160% - 170%. On the other hand, printing it with supports is very “expensive” in terms of filament waste (approx. 60% of the total required filament is for supports) and requires a lot of effort to remove them.
So, I split it along the vertical center line, creating two parts that can be easily glued together with CA glue. The resulting parts are much easier to print, since they have a big solid surface on the bed and should you decide to print them with supports they require much less filament (only 25% of the total required filament is for supports), and it's fairly easy to remove them.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!!
