This frame is inspired by the driblet frame from rotor riot. It has a functional roll cage arm braces and cam protection.
I made this frame to be a light and strong alternative to the driblet, making it a reasonable weight for a micro FPV drone. The cross bars are not necessary but the benefits out weight the weight.
This frame uses 14mm standoffs, sanding 15mm standoffs works well or finding m2 14mm standoffs works as well
I get my frames cut from cncdrones
Specs:
25-26mm AIO mounting
All(common) micro motor mounting
14x14mm cam placement
2mm CF (except for cage plates witch are 1.5mm)
Around 11 grams TCW (Total Carbon Weight) (Including arm braces)
Roughly 1 gram for both arm braces
I believe that both front and back standoffs can collide with the frame on their “track” because the machining tolerances will only get you so far and the cage wiggles so this is possible to more or less clamp the top half to the bottom half to reduce wiggle. If you have questions I will happily answerer them
I know I am not the best at these descriptions so if there is confusion just ask for clarification, I will try my best to respond as soon as possible and I can also fix it in this description
Note:
The DXFs included were exported fusion from a sketch so in non-Autodesk programs they may be missing lines. There is a STEP file so you could get the DXFs if it doesn't work
