k40 fan air assist modification

The small style turbine blower fans snap into the side of this housing. There is a version for a left side fan mount and a right side fan mount.

I think the best is the left side mount because if you exhaust fan is in the back like most machines then the turbine fan sucks in mostly clean air. The right side mount has the fan opening pulling in somewhat dirtier air. Its still not bad at all and after many hours on this side i still didn't have much grime on my lens. 

The only drawback i could see on the left side mount is that it could hit your y axis on some machines.

The hole size for the tightening bolt is 5mm

I havent had a problem but remember this is flamable.

I printed at .32mm layer height and i believe 8% infill.
