Fully compatible with Denver3D's compact split flap set up. This requires JST-SM female headers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNT164CD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 (are the ones i used).

Instructions:

  1. Crimp on 3 female headers onto 3 wires.
  2. Slide the headers into the slots.
  3. insert the hall sensor pins into the headers.
    1. Ensure that the pins of the sensor do not bend and touch.
  4. press fit the sensor head into the carve out on the plate.
    1. (Optional) A small drop of glue can be placed under the sensor head for added security.
      1. The JST-SM pins should hold the sensor securely in place but vibrations for the flaps rotating may cause it to shift slightly over time.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This modification of the left plate swaps the PCB mounting point with a JST-SM header and a small inset for the hall effect sensor.

  1. JST SM connector
  2. Carve out for hall effect sensor
  3. Register/guide for spool
