This project is a physical re-implementation of the classic Pipe Dream / Pipe Mania computer game, designed to bring the virtual puzzle-solving experience into the real world. Printed on the Prusal SL1 using optically transparent SLA resin, I’ve created a set of blocks that mimic the game's iconic flowing-liquid mechanics. When filled with dyed liquid, these blocks replicate the appearance and function of the pipes from the game, making for a tactile and engaging experience.

What’s Included:
This set now features a variety of blocks and components to expand gameplay possibilities:

Pipe Segments:

  • Coil
  • Elbow
  • Straight
  • Tee
  • Intersection
  • Overpass
  • Bulb
  • Cube Cavity
  • Water Slide
  • Kitty Corner
  • Loop-d-loop
  • Benchy in a bottle

Boards and Stands:

  • Cell: Single cell for fitting a block.
  • Board (v1): Ridgid Grid for fitting blocks, can be glued together with other segments
  • Flex Board (v2): A flexible TPU version for modular builds with wedge stands.
  • L-Wedge and R-Wedge: Stands for “battleship” style gameplay.

Connectors and Add-ons:

  • Solid block: For closed-off paths.
  • Luer connector: Ideal for injecting or extracting liquid.
  • Barb: For connecting plastic tubing
  • Barb+Supports
  • Barb-Up

Features:

  • Modular Design: The blocks snap into a fixed grid (Board v1) or onto a flexible TPU board (Flex Board v2), making it adaptable to your setup.
  • Enhanced Gameplay: Blocks like "Barb" and "Coil" introduce unique paths for liquid flow, while "Bulb" adds dynamic elements.
  • Custom Stand System: Use L-Wedge and R-Wedge stands for a stable platform.
  • Liquid Flow: Experiment with dyed liquids or thicker mediums for varied effects.

Inspiration:
Inspired by Pipe Mania, the 1989 puzzle video game where players connect randomly appearing pipe pieces to guide fluid through a grid. This physical version recreates the challenge while adding a hands-on, visual twist.
