This holder allows scanning of 4x5 negatives on the Epson V600 scanner (as well as similar models like V550). I copied the dimensions given in this reddit comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/largeformat/comments/eha6mw/comment/fqynpni Also see video linked in the comment.
The OpenSCAD code is available at https://github.com/EgorLappo/4x5-v600-holder
At the top of the .scad script you may adjust the height of film above glass (the default is 1mm), as well as overall thickness and length.
To scan, do a first pass with the scanner pushed to the bottom left of the glass, and then repeat after sliding the scanner all the way to the right. The two arrows on top of the holder should be pointing downwards towards you and towards the edge that has to be in contact with the edge of the scanning window.
I use the exposure lock function in VueScan to make sure that the two scanning passes match. There is also no need to preview the scan again after the first pass!
