This is the reason I started 3D printing. My 1953 Chrysler has hard rubber door sill plates and they are falling apart. There is a company selling NORS but they've been on the shelf 30+ years. This is a faithful capture of the original, enhanced with the Chrysler logo. I was waiting for the new large format printer to come out but am now torn between trying to print this in 3 parts and hiding the seams or purchasing one of the newly released belt printers. The part is 42 inches (1066mm) long and 4.5 (110mm) wide. The original print file provided is a segment of where the logo is that I used for testing on my Mini. Print in Flex or TPU .
Finally bought a CR30 so I could print this as a single part.
Printed my 1st on with flexible PLA. Didn't like the way the script came out so removed it.
I tried to upload the gcode files but printables says it has an invalid command - yet they print perfectly on the CR-30.
The models without the script include a channel in the bottom where you can glue in the sill carpet stop. This is a feature of the original sills.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
