Since I use my California also as my daily driver, the fridge cannot stay open by it's gasspring. Not only will I get a heartattack when the lid slams shut (which will eventually happend during a trip). But it also puts to much stress on the gasspring and hinges, so they could get skewed. With this thing, the lid is held open for 15mm, so the fridge can breath. That prevents the fridge from getting mouldy and stink. It clips on the basket of my 2017 T6 California fridge.
I printed the thing in Filamentum 98A TPU, which looks fine but I haven't done a testdrive yet. Perhaps a little softer TPU would be better if it rattles too much.
