I adore my LoveSac couch BUT the cats kept losing their small toys in that scant 1 inch space under it and I could never get them back. So between the need to clean underneath the couch and a desire to regain my under couch storage, I needed a way to increase the couch leg height. Additionally, my under couch storage drawers needed a bit more space than was provided inbetween the standard LoveSac shoes.
This design allows you to not only have a wider space between full shoes, but also to not have to print full shoes in those spots where you don't need a full shoe. Only have two feet next to each other? No need to print all four spots then! In testing, this design is still fully supporting the couch, even when only using one of the pieces.
I needed almost 6 inches, but wanted more flexibility down the road if I get rid of the drawer storage, so I split the design into 75mm heights.
The LoveSac Shoe Initial Height pieces have flat bottoms, while the LoveSac Shoe Additional Height files have a small foot extended down to make sure it seats into the initial layer.
Additionally, if using only one height, there are connectors and empty slot fillers for the full height. But if using more than one layer, I found using the 50mm connectors and fillers added structural support to the connections between the layers.
I also had one corner where we didn't have an arm so I needed only one piece but didn't want the slots to be visible, so added the Single FaceFrame model to cover over the connection points.
