Inspired by Voron V2.4 and Trident: Y Endstop relocation mod - model by @top_gun_de does not fit the long shaft stepper motors, so I have drawn my own in OnShape.

It is as short as it can be to still fit the standard micro switch and cables. Cables now go to the side. This prevents shaft rubbing on cables. The usual benefit of relocation mod still stands, it allows for full range of movement when using mechanical endstop on Y.

BOM:

  • Microswitch, i.e. Omron D2F-5L
  • 2x M2x10 self-tapping screws to fasten the microswitch
  • 2x M3x35 or M3x40 screws to fasten the endstop bracket on the gantry - I included two versions of the file with different thickness between the bottom of the model and the bottom of the screw head pocket, so you can select combination that fits your printer.
  • A bumper you can print from the model above or design yourself.

Print using standard Voron settings and materials. Caution, this model does NOT offset ABS shrinkage directly in the model, this time it's on you. Or use low-shrinkage ASA or ABS blend.

For anyone in need of fine-tuning it for their printer, feel free to use OnShape source.
