YT Tues - Miniature DH Bike
The YT Tues frame is based on the original model by MatiDe (an amazing and highly detailed design), but the original version wasn’t suitable for 3D printing. The frame has been remodeled, cleaned up, and equipped with holes for pivot points to make assembly easier.
The wheels are designed from scratch. The rear hub with a cassette includes a ratchet mechanism – you just need to add a small, squishy material (like a sponge) to produce the iconic ratchet noise!
All pivot points and hubs are designed for M3 bolts.
The head tube and support have dedicated “shafts” to print out.
Hardware needed:
M3x35 x2 (head tube, front wheel)
M3x40 x1 (rear wheel)
M3x22 x1 (pivot)
M3x16 x4 (pivot, damper mount)
M3x5 x2 (rear pivot)
threaded inserts M3 x5
The Fox 40 fork requires a dedicated TPU "spring" to function properly, and the Fox X2 rear shock currently has an empty chamber – I'm working on a solution to implement proper damping.
Important: The wheels need to be printed using an SLA printer.
Prototype in Progress
Please note that this is still a prototype. Any suggestions or feedback are highly appreciated!
