Lattice Cube

The trophy design for the 3D Printing Industry Awards 2024 features a transformed lattice cube that use an aesthetic of geometric perfection as a symbol of the award winners' perseverance and effort. The design takes advantage of the unique capabilities of 3D printing, the ability to create complex lattice structures that are unattainable by other manufacturing processes.

The lattice structure, made up of struts connected at 365 nodes, is the central element of the design. It symbolizes not only technical progress and innovation, but above all the daily efforts of the award winners who are dedicated to the development of their field. The number 365 refers to the days of the year, highlighting the continuous work behind the achievement of success and innovation.

The trophy uses a combination of a metal base and a polymer lattice structure. The metal base represents strength and stability, while the polymer part brings lightness and elegance to the design. 

To meet the dimensional limits, the trophy is printed in a different position than the functional position.
