Needed a proper angled mount to store and display my headphones.

I meassured out the angle of my ceiling (see picture) and designed a sturdy 3 part ceiling mount. There are spacers in the back, for my wall/ceiling I designed the spacer to be 27mm away from the wall. I have included the STEP files so you can edit the spacers to your need.

For printing I would suggest using PETG. The Headphone tray profits from using a brim unless you have impeccable bed adhesion. Same goes for the back part of the mount. It should suffice using some custom brims like I used in the pre sliced files. (4-5 zylinder shapes the height of your first layer placed aroud the part).

To assemble the mount youll need the following.

If you do not want to bother with heat inserts you can take the STEP files and adjsut the holes so the screws bite directly into the plastic or adjsut to the inserts you have at hand.

For one mount youll need:

3x M3 Heat Insert L=5mm OD=4.5mm

3x M3x10mm socket head screws

2x M4 Heat Insert L= 5mm to 8mm OD=6mm (tbh these are optional)

2x M4x20mm socket head screws

First step is to melt the M3 inserts in to the headphone tray:

When pushing in the inserts with a soldering iron do not push the all the way but keep the inserts .5mm over the surface of the part, put the soldering iron to the side and quickly press the instert flush with the printed part using a flat piece of metal. This will help the insert cool in a perfectly flush position.

Next, if you have the inserts, grab your back part and melt the M4 inserts into the hole. Make sure you melt them in from the front. You can also skip this part, the M4 bolts alone will provide enough rigidity without the insert. The back holes on the ceiling mounting plate are a little undersized so the bolts will bite the plastic.

Next grab your 3 M3x10 screws and mount the tray to the back part (make sure the inserts are fully cooled and set properly):

Next step will be mouting the plate to the ceiling. I just used some small woodscrews I had laying aroung. Make sure to orient the side with the slightly bigger holes outward facing you.

Next you want to slide the previously assembled parts into the ceiling mount. You might have to trim some edges to get a smooth fit. Once its inserted grab your M4 screws and put them in:

Congratulations, you can now hang up your headphones on an angled ceiling
