This is designed for 2 and 3 gallon BVV Vacuum chamber pots (aluminum version only). Works with or without a heat pad. It friction fits the pot and heat pad edge well enough to hold itself on. Offers better protection for the heat pad edges where it can begin to delaminate and detach from the pot over time.

lifts the pot off the table or work surface ½" (12mm). Provides more pot stability and clearance for a heater

The ring has a cable pass-through to accommodate the BVV heat pad. The heat pad needs to be installed on-center of the pot as best as possible. There are stick-on bumpers/feet that come with this heat pad, but for me they had a short lifespan and are not needed with this ring installed.

If your using it without the heat pad and frequently relocate the pot, apply a few spots of suitable adhesive or RTV silicone on the contacting surfaces to help secure the ring to the pot.

The provided print file is sliced for the Prusa XL with Input Shaper using PETG material. Prints in about 5 hours.

Take into consideration the print material choice for your use case:

  • The max temp set-point of the BVV heat pad shown above is 160°F (71°C) from the factory. PETG stays rigid up to about 176°F(80°C). If your curing epoxies or other components with exothermal reactions, in a way that that would allow the pot surface to exceed this temperature, then consider printing the ring with PC or other higher heat resistant material.
