Hey guys! I hope you’re all doing well! Today I bring you my set of 1/4” hex screwdrivers, they’re all really simple but study and comfortable to use, there’s a medium size, a mini and a micro.

You can find the mini size here and the micro size here

I recommend you use my print profiles as there’s a good amount of tweaking I have done to each of the screwdrivers to make them print as easily as possible and as strong as possible as well as decently fast. If you make your own changes to the profiles make sure you let me know how it goes in the comments! I also recommend you use the micro size to tweak the fit of the bits because it prints the fastest and then using your preferred profile for the other ones.

Everything has been printed in basic and matte PLA and works very well but I see no reason why it would not work using other materials so if you print in any other materials make sure you let me know how it goes! I’m especially interested in knowing how they would print in ASA or PA-CF, ABS-GF would probably work nicely as well! The texture has been made using fuzzy skin so that you can change the fuzzy skin setting to your liking to make the texture more or less rough.

There is a hole for a 6x3mm magnet and you can also test the fit using the micro screwdriver as the print profiles change the size of both the socket hole as well as the magnet hole. I’m including 3 print profiles for each of the screwdrivers, the standard profile is what worked best for me but I’ll include a slightly tighter profile and a slightly looser fitting profile as well. Pro tip for fitting the magnet, just put it on the bottom of a bit and shove it in there, should go in no issue, on the looser fitting profile you might need to use some glue though but you should be fine without glue on the other two profiles, I didn’t glue mine and haven’t had them fall out even once.

All of the screwdrivers are very sturdy but the mini is the most fragile of the three. With both the medium and the micro you will run out of grip strength before the screwdriver gives out but the micro is a little less strong, I haven’t had it break during use so far but I did make it break by using it as a pry bar ahah. Still, all of them are stronger than you would imagine for their size and being 3d printed.

On the medium size you’re able to get quite good grip and screw decently tight, the mini is good for tight spaces where the medium would not fit and the micro is for VERY tight places, it only protrudes about 2mm over where the bit ends so due to it’s size it’s also been a good addition to my edc! I’m looking forward to seeing your feedback on these so I can start working on a V2 of them, I already have some ideas but they’ll take a good bit of work to develop and I already have a few other projects I’m working on so I decided to go ahead and publish them as they are now, keep your eyes open for the next few projects and make sure to follow me to keep updated with my works!

Thank you all and see you soon! happy printing!
