After using the Ooono for a couple of years, I've gone through a couple of CR2450 cells, which are not available everywhere and cost too much for how long they hold up. I can get semi-used AA batteries at work and switched everything else to rechargable AAs.

This is an easy to build Dummy CR2450 cell and an AA battery holder.

Assembly instructions

Everything necessary is some rigid conductor cable, which gets bent into the parts.

In my experience the stiff cable is strong enough to hold everything together. Make sure to align the + in the battery holder with where it would land in the CR2450 dummy.

The AA holder has a printed spring mechanism build in, so that it should have enough pressure on it's own with just the wires in there. I've printed the wrong version without the middle divider, but the batteries stay in there quite good, so I didn't bother with printing the right version. Try it if you want, but it's not tested yet.

Print directions:

AA holder: Standing on the spring mechanism with support works nice

CR2450 dummy: Re-arrange it flat in the slicer, because the model has angled faces. No support

Did everything in simple PLA, 2 walls, 8% infill - but it's not that serious.

Update:

Printing in PLA is not ideal, since the spring feature loses tension over time. PETG feels much more suited so far.

V5 has less aggressive retention clips since those where quite strong.
