6x8in To 6.5in Speaker Adapter

This should fit most Fords with the stock 6x8 speaker and adapt it to the more common 6.5in speaker. Fasteners: This uses M4 or M3 threaded inserts to hold the speaker in place. 

There is a 2mm 60 degree chamfer on the opening for the speaker. Without it, the speaker fits but it is too tight. The pictured print does not have the chamfer.

There are 2 options for the spacing of the screw holes, 156mm and 160mm. Use what best fits your speakers. Pictured is the 156mm M4 and it required me to cut the foam on the speaker. When I go to print this again (to install the rear speakers) I will use the 160mm and upload pictures.  

For the screws, they must be at maximum 10mm long. Any longer and it will protrude past the adapter, which may hit sheet metal on some cars.

Speaker Choice: You must choose a speaker with only 4 mounting holes. I am using the Skar Audio FSX65-4 6.5in in the front of my 2013 F150.

2004-2008 F150

2009-2014 F150

I will periodically check the comments for new confirmed fits.

Added 4 holes for threaded inserts as well as a chamfer around the speaker opening.
