The perfect print for anyone who loves plants and music!
All of the plant branches, leaves, and pick-holders ‘pop’ into sockets, and different branch designs mean you can customize your plant and grow it larger as your pick collection grows!
You can even pop off the ‘soil’ to reveal a little secret compartment to store more picks, guitar strings, or anything you wish.
Will fit all ‘thin/light’ and ‘medium’ sized picks.
Printing Instructions:
Print all pieces as the files are oriented, with 0.15mm layer height. No supports necessary for any part. The numbers below are guidelines, print more of any piece as you wish to grow your plant.
- 1X Planter_Inner.stl
- Use 100% infill to add some weight to this portion, so the plant does not pull the ‘soil’ from the pot
- Use a different texture for the top layer, (Archimedean chords works best) to get a more organic and soil-like look
- 1X Planter_Outer.stl
- Use 100% infill for a heavier base
- Make the seam alignment random to avoid a seam line on the pot curve
- 4X (or more!) Tube.stl
- 4X (or more!) 3-Pronged.stl
- 4X (or more!) 3-Pronged_Long.stl
- 4X (or more!) Y_Shape_Long.stl
- 1 to 15 (or more!) Leaf.stl (These pieces can replace the picks if you don't have enough at the moment)
- 6 to 20 (or more!) Pick.stl
Assembly:
Assemble as you wish, fully customizable!
Some general advice:
- Use 4 Tube.stl as the first pieces to connect to the Planter_Inner piece so the plant droops right over the edge of the planter
- Using more _Long.stl pieces than short pieces will make the plant look more organic
- You can use a Y_Shape to split a branch into 2 more branches!
- Use the Y_Shapes at the end of each branch
