This is a work in progress.

This is an idea to run a Milwaukee M12 tool off a M18 battery.

You will need a DC-DC step down converter (buck converter) because while tools designed for 12 volts will run on 18V, they will wear out faster. Here is a good idea of where to get a suitable one:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32999701159.html (get one at least 5Amp)

Put the converter within the hollow top piece.

Use spade connectors to connect to the tool and battery, male at the bottom female at the top.

hold the bottom and mid sections together with four 8-36 (3/4" long) machine screws, or glue.
