This is a project for a direct-drive sim racing steering wheel base enclosure using a hoverboard motor and an ODESC Mini.

This is my first project using FreeCAD, and I essentially learned it during this project.

The project is mostly assembled, but some modifications are necessary. This isn't the final version. Perhaps someday, when I have time, I'll address the issues I've identified.

In any case, I'm including the original FreeCAD project file so that anyone can modify or improve it. If you make any changes, please share your modified version or post it here.

Print all parts within the enclosure at 100% infill. PETG or PLA filament will work I',m using both

Check the base hole positions, check if the nuts that you have will assembly in the nut holes.

Basically check everything, this is not a trivial assembly and there is a lot to check.

I've been using this setup for over 3 months with the motor at 50% power using FFBEAST. This is a 30mm magnet motor. I believe running it above 60% could potentially damage certain components. I already know what needs to be fixed, but the point is that it's possible to build this using 3D printed parts.

The SK16 is the only part I purchased, as it's inexpensive.

Important: Use lock washers and nylon lock nuts for all components inside the enclosure.
