DOWNLIGHT TO PENDANT LIGHT ADAPTER

This is a simple non- destructive hanger that fits into an existing 90 - 95mm downlight recess, and incorporates a fitting to allow an IKEA HEMMA pendant fitting to bolt straight up.   The fitting can then be adjusted to cover the downlight hole entirely.

It is non-destructive, so if you wish, you can replace the downlight at any time.  

INSTALLATION

Remove the existing downlight fitting.
Assemble the HEMMA fitting in accordance with the instructions using a bolt to fix it to this adapter instead of a ceiling hook.

Slip the adapter into the downlight cutout and locate it in position.

Fasten the HEMMA fitting into place in accordance with the instructions.

PLEASE NOTE that depending on where you live, it may be necessary to hire a registered contractor to make the electrical connection.  Please don't play with electricity unless you are aware of the risks and know what you are doing! 

PRINTING.

There's nothing difficult about this print - I used PETG because that was in the printer, but PLA will be fine.   

I did increase the perimeters to 4 out of an abundance of caution, and printed with 25% infill.
