Bicycle saddle height measurement tool - "75mm point" remix of cmh's 80mm version

cmh's excellent design at 80mm has been adapted to a 75mm BRP that suits my fit data sets. Also 70mm versions loaded.

Instructions as per cmh's source print.

I had already been using a 75mm reference point with a less refined tool and the 80mm design by cmh works extremely well so I edited his design to suit.  It seems that there is no set standard (I have seen 80, 75 and 70 being used) but all that is important is you consistently use the same one so if/when you swap saddles you can migrate fit measurements reliably.

I found it a straightforward print with embossing side to the print plate. You can do a colour change for 1 layer (was at 0.8mm for mine) to highlight the embossing if you want. I printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2 mm layers with PLA.

Update 8th March 2026:- I have loaded a Version 2 which has the inner sides bevelled to make the tool more stable (less rock/twist) in use. I chose a bevel angle that seems to work on my collection of saddles but let me know if it doesn't for you.

Update 7th June 2026:- I have loaded 70mm reference point versions - both straight and bevelled inner sides

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I resized it for a 75 mm BRP (Biometric Reference Point) and added embossing to label the size.
