► Bracket variants for several types of lipless tray
► Parametric to make other variants
► Slider clip to place & remove tray quickly
► Hidden screws
These brackets are for straight-sided trays with draft angle, no upper lip, but a ridge underneath.
Presently the following trays are supported:
* Ikea trays 301.550.19 and 205.464.67 appear to be the same item renamed. But I am assuming this, and only possess the 301.550.19 tray.
Further Variants :
Can be made via the FreeCAD Parametric source model included
Using the spreadsheet embedded in the model tree, it's quite easy for FreeCAD users to generate additional bracket variants.
Measure the tray dimensions shown in the diagram, and edit the corresponding spreadsheet cells.
Note: The 3D model will (by default) attempt to update itself after each cell edit. When editing several cells, this might cause the model to “fail” partway through due to incompatible combinations. Often this resolves itself when all edits are complete, but this might not always happen.
Check for red markers in the model tree which indicate a failed geometry. Beware that a failed model will still present a 3D of the last good geometry, and which is now different to the present spreadsheet content.
In case of a failed model after all spreadsheet edits are complete, re-load the original model and try changing the cells this time in a different sequence, and/or in small increments.
Also re-check that your measurements are correct.
The item requires a small support in the two regions shown at the sides (see image).
Other regions should be bridged without support, as supports there would be hard to remove and tend to foul the slide action.
The print-in-place clip has a sliding fit with a narrow clearance. As with any such feature it's important that the XY offset compensation is set correctly. It's termed the “Horizontal Expansion” parameter in Cura.
If the slide mechanism doesn't operate at first then it can be freed using a few gentle taps with a light hammer - but firstly screw the item to something using the upper hole.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
